These problems affect not only the quality of life of its inhabitants but also the city's environmental sustainability. The need for innovative and sustainable solutions in urban mobility is more critical than ever.

Problem to Solve:

The "Smart Mobility for a Sustainable Lima" challenge invites students to develop innovative solutions that improve urban mobility in Lima, reduce congestion and pollution, and make the city more livable and accessible for all its residents.

Evaluation criteria:

  • Potential impact on reducing congestion and pollution.
  • Technical and economic viability of the proposed solution.
  • Innovation and originality of the business or technology model.
  • Long-term sustainability and scalability of the solution.
  • Ease of implementation in the context of Lima.

This challenge seeks to generate innovative ideas and promote a culture of sustainability, collaboration, and social responsibility that aligns with the global objectives of sustainable development and improving the quality of life in Lima.

The First T.L. Saaty Decision Making Hackathon in Latin America

In conjunction with the ICEFM2024, we are thrilled to announce the first T.L. Saaty Decision Making Hackathon in Latin America, specifically targeted towards smart mobility solutions for a sustainable Lima. This Hackathon, organized and led by the Creative Decision Foundation (USA) and ICEFM2024 Organizers, is scheduled from May 17-19, 2024, and marks a unique opportunity for MSc and MBA students to apply and showcase their problem-solving skills on an international stage.

Why Your Involvement and Student Participation Matters

Your expertise would greatly enrich the ICEFM2024 Conference, and we also seek your support in sharing this invitation with your most talented students. The Hackathon is designed to foster cross-cultural collaboration, innovative thinking, and practical solution development for real-world challenges. It represents an excellent opportunity for students to:

  • Receive AHP/ANP training from the Creative Decision Foundation, enhancing their decision-making skills.
  • Work in teams with peers from across the globe, demanding fluent English proficiency for effective communication and collaboration.

Jury Comprised of Worldwide Experts

The Hackathon will feature a distinguished jury composed of worldwide experts, ensuring that the ideas and solutions presented are evaluated by leading figures in the field. This not only adds prestige to the event but also provides participants with the opportunity to receive feedback from and network with professionals of the highest caliber. To gain a deeper understanding of the caliber of Hackathons previously organized by the Creative Decision Foundation and their successful collaborations with various companies, I encourage you to explore https://creativedecisions.net/org_events/. Notably, last year, the Mayor of Wieliczka, a city honored with a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List in Poland, introduced three significant challenges from his Municipality during our ICEFM2022 event. The solutions proposed were of such exceptional quality that he extended a personal invitation to the two standout teams from Peru and Poland, inviting them to engage in collaborative projects in Wieliczka following their participation in the Hackathon and the ICEFM2022 Conference. This exemplifies the profound impact and real-world applicability of the innovative solutions fostered through these events.
