Prof. Marta Gancarczyk

Dr. Hab. Marta Gancarczyk is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Globalization and Economic Integration at the Institute of Economics, Finance and Management, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She holds her Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Lodz, Poland, and the Habilituated Ph.D. in Economics from Cracow University of Economics, Poland. Her research, publication, and consulting activities focus on entrepreneurship, firm growth, industrial clusters, regional and innovation policies, and public policy for small and medium-sized enterprises. Professor Gancarczyk implemented a number of research projects funded by Polish Ministry for Science and Education, National Science Centre, Poland, Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, European Union Erasmus+ Program, Visegrad Fund, Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Tokyo, and United States Information Agency, among others. She is an Associate Editor of the international scientific journal “Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management and Innovation” and a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the “Journal of Organizational Change Management.” She acts as Member of Scientific Boards at a number of academic conferences and Member of the Advisory Board of Polish Cluster of Innovative Enterprises. Additionally, Professor Gancarczyk’s professional memberships include European Council for Small Business, Brussels, European Academy for Advanced Studies in Management, Brussels, Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, London, and European Academy of Management.

Prof. Stanisław Gomułka

Doktor nauk ekonomicznych (Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego), absolwent Wydziału Fizyki UW. Stypendysta Duńskiej Akademii Nauk. Wykładał m. in. na London School of Economics (1970-2005), uniwersytetach Columbia, Harvard, Pennsylvania oraz Stanford w Stanach Zjednoczonych, Central European University w Budapeszcie i College of Europe w Warszawie. Były konsultant MFW, OECD oraz Komisji Europejskiej. W latach 1989-1990 oraz 1998-2002 doradca kolejnych ministrów finansów RP, a w latach 1995-98 doradca prezesa NBP. W okresie od stycznia do kwietnia 2008 roku podse-kretarz stanu w Ministerstwie Finansów w rządzie Donalda Tuska Obecnie członek korespondent Polskiej Akademii Nauk oraz członek Rady Naukowej Instytutu Nauk Ekonomicznych PAN, a także główny ekonomista Business Centre Club.

 

Prof. Beata Jones

She earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the City University of New York Graduate Center. She is currently a Professor of Business Information Systems Practice and an Honors Faculty Fellow at the Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University.  She serves as the Chair of the Professional Development Committee at the National Collegiate Honors Council and is an editorial board member of the Journal of the European Honors Council and the Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management, and Innovation. Her research interests include talent development, honors education, twenty-first-century pedagogy, ePortfolios, and trust, security, and privacy in the Digital Age.

 

Dr Haim V. Levy

Dr. Levy served as Deputy Managing Director of Yeda Research & Development Co. Ltd., the Technology Transfer Company of the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel (WIS) (1986-1990). He was in charge of identifying innovative applied research projects, on-campus, and endeavoring their commercialization, among others, by way of technology transfer, licensing, to major international companies. During the past 35 years, he co-founded and served as CEO and director of four start-up companies, among them, three Biomed companies: Agrilab Ltd., (1990), a company involved in the development of plant diseases diagnostics. This company merged with a large commercial service laboratory. Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation Systems (NESS) Ltd. (1991), engaged in medical devices aimed at restoring function to the upper extremities of quadriplegics and hemiplegics. It was acquired by an American company and renamed Bioness Inc.; and NanoDerma Ltd., (2006) engaged in the development of advanced, proprietary transdermal and intranasal delivery nano-emulsion formulations. In Addition, he lectured, at a number of universities, among others, on Technology Transfer, Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship and Project Management. Dr. Levy is also a practicing attorney, engaged in various international business transactions, including Hi-Tech investments deals, private equity and Venture capital Funds, innovation technology transfer and licensing agreements. Dr. Levy holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, an MBA and LL.B

 

Prof. Grażyna Leśniak-Łebkowska

Professor in the Management Institute of Warsaw School of Economics, Ph.D. received in 2011. In 1995-2005 head of the WEMBA program (with the University of Minnesota CSOM). Over 30 years experience in post diploma management education. EC expert in SSH. From 1993 the member of Global Executive Learning Network Research projects on strategy, investment risks in CEE countries, sustainable development, CSR and trust. Teaching CSR, strategic management, operations management, project management and CSR. Over 100 publications.

 

Prof. Kazimierz R. Śliwa

Graduate in Law and Administration (University of Wroclaw), Ph. D. in economics (Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin), post-doctoral degree in management (habilitation – University of Warsaw). He spent more than 20 years teaching in Mexico and the United States. Author and co-author of more than 50 scientific articles and 6 books. Consultaning practice in several countries, including Poland. Concentration fields and scientific interests: strategic management, international business, management&marketing, system dynamics and computer supported problem-solving. His latest book – to be finished this year – shows how computers and system thinking can be applied to solving complex management problems. Happily married and father of 3 already grown children (time is flying).
